I began my career in the helping professions in 1991, working mainly one to one but also later on with groups. Deciding to focus on counselling I took a number of formal counselling courses whilst my employment moved into coaching with some counselling skills in the fields of drug and alcohol addiction.

I have worked in the private, public and voluntary sectors in addition to my private practice.

Time limited counselling is also offered to many local and national companies, either directly or through their Employee Assisted Programmes. Using brief therapy techniques we examine the issues in a neutral, supportive but very focussed way which can be helpful in many situations.

I am a tutor in online counselling and a serving comittee member of Association Counselling Therapy Online and the Deputy for the facilitation and co-ordination of the annual OCTIA conference. I am a Co-Director and Tutor with Online Training for Counsellors and I also hold the executive post of Social Media Manager for the Scottish Association Psychodynamic Counselling.
